Nine months into my tour, I had accumulated some leave time and was also entitled to a 7-day R&R as well. We had the option of going to Thailand, Japan, Australia, Hawaii, and maybe some other places that I can’t remember now. Even though I didn’t include any mention of the R&R trip in my memoir, I may still write about it someday. But for now, I thought I would just post pictures of my flight ticket that I found while going through some old files. The first picture below is the fifty plus year old Pan Am commercial 747 flight ticket. The additional pictures following the flight ticket picture are posted for their historical documentation value, if any.
